Another year has begun Wow! AC has been a viable ministry for over 30 years! It is hard to believe that it all started with the vision of just two born again Christian men who attended AA.

The Board of Elders met January 8 and established a tentative schedule of events for the rest of the year.

The Women’s Spring Retreat will be a one-day event on April 21 at Walton Blvd Church of God in Pontiac, MI. The cost will be $20.00 and that includes lunch. Be sure to call the office and sign up early. No date has as yet been set for the fall retreat.

The Men’s Spring Retreat will be held April 27-28 at Echo Grove Conference Center in Leonard, MI. The cost for this retreat will be $70 for the two days. The date for the fall retreat is tentatively set for October 26 & 27.

We do not have a date for the Spring Training Conference yet, but the topic will be “What a Relapse Looks Like”.

We are planning to have a picnic in July or August again in the Green Acres Park in Hazel Park, MI

The Annual Praisefest will be held November 19 (the Monday before Thanksgiving) at Calvary Church of God In Christ, 15025 Fenkell, Detroit, MI

There is also the possibility of a Spaghetti Dinner in the fall.

THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW

The AC workbook is being translated into Russian and has already been translated into Spanish. It is being used around the world to help people gain victory over alcoholism. God is so good!

The workbook is being reduced to “Bible size” meaning that it will fit in your Bible and should be available soon. Nothing is being left out – it is just being compacted, if you will for the convenience of being able to carry it in your Bible.

The meeting that is held on Thursdays in Grace Missionary Church in Waterford, MI is celebrating their 9-year anniversary with a pot blessing on Feb. 1.

NEW MEETINGS

We have had new meetings start recently in Lowell, Indiana and Sidney, Ohio and on February 6 at 6:30pm there will be another new meeting start in C.H.A.N.G.E. Ministries, 4400 14th Street in Detroit, MI.

Thank you to all who willingly sent in funds at year-end. Thanks to your faithfulness, AC can continue the ministry to alcoholics wherever they may be. We ask for contributions from our regular groups, however, we send workbooks at no charge to those meeting in prisons.

PRAYER

Please keep the AC groups and leaders all across the nation and around the world lifted up in prayer. The enemy does not like the work we are doing and tries in every way possible to discourage the groups and their leaders. He will not only attack them personally, but also their family members. He shows no mercy, but we have authority in the name of Jesus over ALL the power of the enemy, so let’s use it!

We would like to know how your group is doing, so please e-mail, write, or call Pat with your news. God is good and we should be praising Him for all he has done and is doing for us.

Please be reminded that AC is funded only by your contributions and without them there would be no AC. So, if you are able to contribute even just a few dollars on a monthly basis, it would help us to continue to reach out to those who are still suffering from alcoholism.
