March - April 2008

We hope that things are going well with you all and we continue to pray for you. Remember that we all need to pray for one another daily as this is a ministry from the Lord and we are a fellowship of believers. Please pray for each other to stay connected to each other and to continue to labor for the Lord in his Vineyard to stay sober and help others that are in need of sobriety. Please pray for the Elders and Meeting Leaders, too. They do a lot behind the scenes for us all; let us be a blessing to them, too.

Let’s Welcome Our New Director of Family Groups
My Name is Renee Ewald, and I have been given the opportunity to serve as Family Group Leader for the A/C Ministry. I am honored by this, and hope to be useful in this capacity. I want to encourage those groups that have an active family table to keep up the good work, and to those who would like to have one that don't, let me know how I can help. I will be visiting some of the family tables in the next few months and hope to get to know more of my A/C brothers and sisters! I am praying that the Lord brings the hurting people in and that we are ready to minister His love and care to them. I hope you are praying with me. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, ideas, or needs that you have and I will be happy to try to assist you. We have not, because we ask not!

Sincerely,

Renee Ewald
AC Family Group Director

TESTIMONY
Many of the attendees we currently have are AA people. They call AC the advanced course. The Lord has been blessing us. We have been running on average 6 to 10 people at our meetings. Some come having been saved during their AA journey, others have (Praise The Lord) been getting saved in our meetings.

During the first few summers we had myself and another gentleman (Ron R) attending. I was discouraged and considering ending AC, when Ron told me of an AA group he once ran on Wednesday evenings. For two years he opened up the meeting room, made coffee and other preparations, then sat and studied the AA "Big Book". He did this for two years without having anyone else there. What dedication, it inspired me to continue. For several years that same Wednesday night meeting that Ron started has been and continues to be one of the largest AA meetings in the area.

God Bless,

Bill

RUSSIAN WORKBOOK
A Russian Alcoholics for Christ Workbook was given to a lady in our area that speaks Russian. She has been going to AA. It turns out that an English speaking AC meeting is held at her church weekly and now she will be able to attend it, too. How good is our God? SO good!
