The Men's 25th Anniversary Retreat was a super success and all who attended were truly blessed! The Fall Retreat is scheduled for October 5,6,&7, 2001 at Echo Grove, in Leonard, MI. The retreat committee has already held one planning meeting for this event. If you are one of the people who signed up to help with the Fall retreat and were not able to make the first meeting, but wish to attend future committee meetings, please contact Mike Riley at 1-313-865-7877 or call the AC office at 1-800-441-7877.

The Women's Spring Retreat - The retreat was held at Colombiere Retreat Center in Clarkston, MI where at total of 65 ladies received the Lord's blessings. The theme of the retreat was "God's Prescription for Healthy Relationships" and focused on Steps 8 and 9. Dr. Sue Maloney spoke on forgiveness, making amends, and anger. Many women were changed and healed during these sessions, and there was at least one salvation! Saturday evening was a blessed time in the Chapel with song and prayer. We were blesssed to have ladies from Ohio; Hamilton,Ontario, Canada, and, of course, Michigan attend the retreat. Many new friendships and relationships were made between Alcoholics for Christ and Life Share Mnistries during the retreat. We are looking forward to the Fall Retreat, which is scheduled for November 2-4, 2001 again at Colombiere.

Alcoholics for Christ in Texas -

Hi! We have run out of Bibles, Devotionals and workbooks again! Man things are growing! We on average this month have 12-15 people per meeting! Our group is growing very rapidly. God-sized things are happening in Texas! In Christ - Eric

AC in Florida writes -

It is awesome what God is doing behind the walls! It almost seems, in our group at least, we are being used to transform the guards as well as the prisoners. The guards are present at every meeting for the entire meeting, watching and listening to us. Two weeks ago, after one of our group leaders had a prophetic word on healing, a backslidden guard who was present received a healing in his back from our Lord. The week before that I was called out of the room by a guard who asked for help in bringing him back to the Lord. We had powerful prayer in private since he was on duty. Praise the Lord...and the story gets better! God Bless to all -. John Inverness, FL

Praise God for Eric and John who are both active in the AC prison ministry.

A Letter From India! ---

I am from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. At this time I am in Canada to acquire a diploma in Christian Broadcasting of television which I presently completed. Since I have been staying at Tony's house, (AC group in Brantford, Ontario, Canada) I have come to know about this ministry for alcoholics and their families. Tony is coming to India in November with his Pastor. I am wanting to start this AC ministry in my church. My church is presently invloved in organizing crusades and ministries for Rag pickers (street people). Since we are coming across many who are from addicted backgrounds, the Lord can perform wonders with the Alcoholics for Christ in our church too. Thank you. Vikas, India.

Please keep praying for all of our groups and leaders and for those that desire to start chapters too.
