A PASTOR SHARES - EXCERPTS FROM HIS LETTER TO AC
Dear Alcoholics for Christ,
I came across your booth at the Promise Keepers convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I must share a small testimony with before I go any farther.

I am an Associate Pastor of a small Nazarene Church here in my community. ..... I have been praying that God would show us an avenue by which we could have an impact on the community; minister to the specific needs and at the same time share the gospel and lead people to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Alcoholism and drug addiction run rampart in this community, as it does in so many.........

Yesterday, August 19, 2000, I walked around the back side of the Pit arena to avoid the crowd and guess who I came across? I came across the Alcoholics for Christ booth! I believe the Holy Spirit himself led my brother and I to your booth. And the reason that I say that is because I felt as though He spoke to me in that soft, still voice and said, "This is what I want you to take back to your neighborhood." If this is what God wants in this community, He will surely work out the details.

I filled out one of the cards at your booth and I did mention that I wanted information on starting an AC Chapter in our community.

A GROUP LEADER SHARES
I am pumped up after the PK in New Mexico. It started as more of an endurance type of assignment from the Lord. The kind that takes some stamina for lack of a better word. By Saturday it was a different story. It really was a joy to work for the Lord!

I lost count of the many people we spoke with and prayed with. Of the people I had a chance to work with a couple really touched my heart. Those who are still suffering with substance abuse and the adult children. They brought to the front of my mind what is was like to be where they are. I'm still amazed at the reaction of people when we prayed for them. some have tears, some are sincerely thankful and other took such comfort. All were sincerely touched. I left with the impression that people haven't taken the time to pray with them. The thought of that saddened me. But we had such an awesome opportunity to touch so many souls that we would not have otherwise had. Thank you PK! And a special thanks to AC Ministries for the opportunity to make use of where I've come from and to minister to others in a way I would not have otherwise had..........Ron........

AC has had a booth at thirteen Promise Keeper Conventions so far this year. Twelve of those were in the US and one was in London, Ontario, Canada. God has blessed us and allowed us to share with others what he has given us for our recovery. And there are:
